Drum & Sing Level II
Sponsored by Mrs. John D. Brewer
Su D’Ambrosio
This class is perfect for any child who loves music. This 12-week interactive class turns children’s natural aural, vocal and kinesthetic abilities into young musician’s performance skills by incorporating singing, percussion instruments, improvisation and movement. Students will develop all of their basic music skills through experiencing, performing and creating music in the classroom.
Level II is for children age 6-8. Students who continue from Level I will build on the skills they have developed. New students will be immersed in a fun class that will foster the development of their basic skills. All students are allowed to develop at their own pace and are encouraged to reach toward their potential. Level II incorporates collaboration with Voice Class 7-9 to enrich vocal development, movement activities and playing classroom instruments to foster steady beat and rhythm skills, and an introduction to recorder to give students a chance to learn a specific instrument and start to read music.
