Flute Symphony
Donald Zook, Director
June 18-July 30, 2008
Wednesday evenings
Extra rehearsal: Monday, July 30
Jane Carr Amphitheater, Hingham

Summer after summer, Flute Symphony players come to South Shore Conservatory to meet and perform with some of the area’s best professional and amateur flutists. The program acquaints students with a variety of music styles, from baroque to classical, “pop” to jazz, and introduces the music of present-day composers. Students learn reading, intonation, listening, breathing, phrasing, improvisation, and musicianship, and how to think in terms of harmony as well as melody.
