Flute Symphony 2012
Donald Zook, Director/Conductor
Leandra Botta, Assistant Conductor/ Chamber Coach
Wednesday evenings starting June 13, 2012
Final Concert: Wednesday, August 1, 2012
Jane C. Carr Amphitheater, Hingham

Summer after summer, Flute Symphony players come to South Shore Conservatory to meet and perform with some of the area’s best professional and amateur flutists.
The program acquaints students with a variety of music styles, from baroque and classical, to “pop” and jazz, and introduces the music of present-day composers. Students gain stronger skills in reading, intonation, listening, breathing, improvisation, phrasing and musicianship, and learn to think in terms of harmony as well as melody.
Flute Symphony’s final performance is Wednesday, August 1, 2012
7 pm in the Jane Carr Amphitheater.
