Robert C. Reustle

Teaching Artist Statement
Teaching music of any kind is about developing a new voice for self expression. My goal as a trumpet teacher is to help each student find the most relaxed and efficient way to play the instrument so that it becomes a part of them, and not simply an external object. Once a student is comfortable with the instrument then they become free to express themselves within any genre or style. I challenge my students to play in many different styles and genres so that they can expand their horizons and discover the amazing diversity of the musical world. Lessons are not just about learning to play the trumpet, but about developing a love and appreciation for music that will last a lifetime.
