Jennie Mulqueen

Jennie Mulqueen, Artistic Director, MUSIC TOGETHER® has performed extensively in opera, recitals, and choral music, and she first came to Music Together® while teaching preschool in New York. After teaching MT in Manhattan for two years, Jennie took the leap and founded Metro Music Together¨ in January, 1998. She holds a B.M. in Voice Performance from Northwestern University and a M.Ed. in Creative Arts in Learning at Lesley College. In addition to teaching/directing MMT, Jennie has taught Solfege (sight-singing) at the Suzuki School of Newton and sang profesionally at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Newton Lower Falls from 2000-2006.

In 2003, Jennie founded "Conscious Cabaret", a venue that explores contemporary life issues such as gender and class, and has performed throughout the Boston metro area. In 2004, the Center for Music and Young Children in Princeton, NJ awarded Jennie Music Together Certification Level II status for outstanding achievement in teaching, musicianship, program philosophy, and parent education. She began leading teachers' skills workshops nationally for MT, LLC in 2005. Jennie assumed the role of Northeast Regional Representative for the Early Childhood Music and Movement Association from 2004-2006. She is the proud mama of Sophie Veronica D'Alessandro (b. 9.28.04) and Atticus Jude D'Alessandro (b. 7/6/06).
