Ihang Lin

Teaching Artist Statement
Inspired by my former teachers who put students' musical progress and personal interest as their top priority in teaching, I have always considered being a piano teacher a fortune that instills the love of music in my students age 5-year-old to young-at-heart. Whether it is a single note gesture, a gigantic loud chord, or a slight pause with powerful silence permeating the air, musical thoughts are constantly what I try to bring to my piano students while they develop the technical dexterity on the 88 keys. I certainly believe music is a special kind of language that can be understood without human language barrier. I am thrilled to be the person who plants the seeds for the music garden.
