Sally Davenport
Sally Davenport, oboe, a native of Rochester, NY, holds a bachelor's degree from Smith College and a diploma in oboe performance from Longy School of Music. She has taught oboe in the Weymouth public schools, Buckingham, Brown and Nichols in Cambridge, and at Milton Academy. She currently teaches in Hingham and Duxbury for South Shore Conservatory. She is a past president of the board and principal oboe for the Hingham Symphony Orchestra (previously known as the Hingham Civic Orchestra), and played second oboe for the Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra. She currently plays principal oboe for the Quincy Symphony Orchestra, and freelances in the greater Boston area.
