Tom Boyer

A graduate of Boston University, Tom Boyer has been working as a musician in the Boston area for over thirty years. He is a member of the adjunct faculty at Quincy College, the music director and organist at Bethany Congregational Church in Quincy, and a member of the piano faculty at South Shore Conservatory in Hingham and Duxbury. He is the current music director of the Hingham "Cabaret" and the founder and director of the Spear Street Singers of Quincy. Tom works as a solo performer and with his groups, "Take Five" and "The Tom Boyer Trio." He plays and does vocal and instrumental arrangements for rock, classical, jazz, and liturgical music.

Tom has also accompanied many soloists and local choral groups, most recently the Snug Harbor Community Chorus. His choral arrangements have been performed by high school choruses, church choirs, and community choruses and his "On Prayer" was performed by the SEMSBA chorus at their 1997 Spring performance. Tom and his wife, Marcia, live in South Weymouth. They have two grown children, Elizabeth and Jonathan.
