MaeLynn Arnold

MaeLynn Arnold received her Bachelor's Degree in violin performance from Boston University, where she attended under full scholarship studying with Bayla Keyes. She is Suzuki certified, has been on the faculty of the Aurora School of Music in Ohio, and has taught privately since 2002. MaeLynn started with South Shore Conservatory in 2010.
In April 2009, she was part of the Internationale Junge Orchester Akademie performing on tour in Bayreuth and several other cities in Germany. MaeLynn has performed as soloist with the Lakeland Civic Orchestra and the Toledo Symphony, and as an orchestra musician, has performed in numerous Northeast Ohio, Boston, and New England area orchestras. She has played under such conductors as Michael Tilson–Thomas, James Conlon, Pierre Boulez, and Franz Welser–Most. In 2010, she was also the first place winner of the Tuesday Musical Scholarship Competition hosted in Akron, OH.
MaeLynn has participated in such festivals as the Boston University Tanglewood Institute, Kent Blossom Music Festival, Credo, Interlochen Summer Arts Academy, Opera de Bauge in France, and the International Music Festival where she completed her Suzuki Certification. In 2000, she founded a trio with her sisters, Strings of Gold (www.stringsofgold.com), performing in concert and in public outreach settings. She has studied with Milan Vitek and Marilyn McDonald at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, and with Ani Schnarch while attending the Royal College of Music in London. She has also performed in master classes for such renowned violinists as James Buswell, Christian Tetzlaff, William Preucil, Charles Castleman, Lewis Kaplan, and Stephen Clapp.
