Community Partnership Program

South Shore Conservatory’s Community Partnerships office is dedicated to engaging our community with imaginative, flexible, responsive arts programming, particularly geared toward South Shore residents who may not be able to take part in programs at our Hingham or Duxbury campuses. Community Partnerships is the office of SSC that is primarily focused on access, on reaching community members who, for whatever reason, are not able to reach us.

Community Partnerships encompasses two main strands of programming: school programs and partnerships through the Art of Learning and programs in the community through Arts in Action. Currently The Art of Learning consists of school partnerships with the Hingham Schools, St. Francis Xavier School in Weymouth, and Sacred Heart School in Quincy. We are in the development phase of a partnership with the Hull Schools. Arts in Action has recently offered programs with a variety of community partners including the Isaac Winslow House in Marshfield, the Pilgrim Hall Museum in Plymouth, Hingham Library, and Barnes and Noble in Hingham. In summer 2007 we inaugurated our partnership with South Shore YMCA at their Germantown Neighborhood Center Girl Power camp.

For more information on our Community Partnerships and how you can get involved, contact Adrienne Perfetuo, Community Partnerships Coordinator, at 781-749-7565 x33.
